State by State USA Online Gambling Regulation

Online gambling laws have changed in the past few years and now, US players are able to access some online casinos that are operating in the US. However, there are just a few states that offer this and players have restrictions that are in place. Each state will have different regulations pertaining to online gambling and it is important for players to understand these before they choose to gamble at one of the online casinos or poker rooms that are offered. The following will discuss the different regulations for the states of Nevada and New Jersey and will address how more states will soon be offering legal online gambling for residents. With these new laws and regulations, may players now have the ability to legally gable online, which is a welcome change to the past.

In regards to Nevada, the laws regarding online gambling pertain only to residents of the state. No other players from the US may access a Nevada online casino to gamble. When online gambling became legal in Nevada, players saw the launch of a poker room, not a full online casino. However, now there are some great online casinos that offer a huge variety of games for players who want real money action right from home. At his time, these sites are still limited to those that reside in Nevada only.

New Jersey was another state that legalised online gambling. When the bill was passed, it restricted online casinos to being operated by casinos that were already established physically in Atlantic City. This limited the number of online casinos that were to open, but it was still great news. Like Nevada, New Jersey limits players to those that reside in the state. However, Nevada and New Jersey are currently working to allow interstate gambling so that poker players from both states can play against each other.

As more states legalise online gambling they will each have their own restrictions. Since online gambling is one of the top pastimes for gamblers worldwide, the US is trying to open the doors so that players will find a safe and secure online casino right in their own country. However, it is unclear as to how many states will legalise this type of gambling and what the restrictions will be in regards to real money players.
